Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (Blast), a non-governmental organization, has called on the Bangladesh Army and administration to identify those involved in arson, attacks, and casualties and take legal action, particularly for the safety of the minority community.

In addition to ensuring the safety of the people, Blast has urged everyone to maintain peace.

According to media sources, communal attacks, vandalism, arson of religious places of worship, and killings occurred in various locations across the country on Monday.

Various important structures are being attacked, and sculptures are being vandalized. An anarchic situation prevails across the country, which is illegal and unconstitutional.

Article 32 of the Constitution states: “No person shall be deprived of life and liberty save in accordance with law.”

Additionally, Article 28(1) of the Constitution states: “The state shall not discriminate against any citizen on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.”

Blast emphasizes that all actions must align with these constitutional principles to ensure the protection and rights of every citizen.
